Gays in the Military, it is not the real issue

I have served in the Military for 23 years, from 1984 to 2007. I have served alongside gay men and woman and one of my best Commanders was gay. They have courage, respect, and good character all the things you want a soldier to have. So because they are gay, it is a problem for them to serve openly. Why do they have to lie in order to serve their Country? Is it because straight men are scared of gay men? Or is it because straight men are insecure about their own sexuality?

Gays that are serving in the military, is not the real issue? Here is the real issue. Gays serving in the military is just a political distraction from the real issue that plagues the military and has been going on for years. Let me paint a picture for you, on the left side, you have all the people in an out of the military, that says I don’t want a gay person in the fox hole with me, or gays will disrupt the morale and unity of the military.

But on the right side, you have a straight military man, this straight military man, rapes a straight military woman, this straight military woman goes to a straight military man who is an Officer and files a complaint. You know what that straight military man who is an Officer said to the straight military woman who was raped; if you want to stay in the military, keep your mouth shut. So, that straight military man who is an Officer does not file the report. That straight military man who raped that straight military woman is free to rape or kill your mother, sister, daughter, aunt or your niece.

So I ask you, who do you fear now, the gay individual in the foxhole who wants to serve their country or the straight man that is raping and killing your daughter? So what is the real issue, gays serving in the military or is it the straight man that is a sexual predator? So Mr. Homophobic, while you are spending your time, trying to figure out, who is the Gay one in your Unit, you are allowing a sick straight sexual predator roam around in your neighborhood.
